The core technical challenge of water-based coatings was achieving abrasion resistance, hardness, and drying efficiency on par with solvent-based ones. Initially, the water-based samples we developed either dried too slowly, severely impacting production efficiency, or resulted in a surface that was too soft and prone to scratching. It was a classic "you can't have your cake and eat it too" dilemma.

Our R&D team did not retreat. They established a joint laboratory with world-leading chemical companies to modify water-based resins at the molecular level. A key breakthrough was the development of a "self-crosslinking" water-based system where the resin molecules form a dense three-dimensional network during curing, achieving a hardness close to that of ceramics. Concurrently, we modified the production line's oven, designing more precise temperature and humidity control zones to create a "tailor-made" environment for the perfect curing of water-based coatings.

Today, our water-based coating product line is in successful mass production. It not only has extremely low VOC emissions, improving the factory working environment, but the finished product fully complies with the EU's stringent environmental standards, becoming a "green passport" for our expansion into high-end international markets.
